Cane and Austin: Face & Body Retexture Scrub & Miracle Pads + 30% Glycolic Treatment

Glycolic Acid is at the heart of Cane and Austin, and they do it well! I had a few run-ins in the past starting my skincare journey with Glycolic Acid, before indulging into acids, and it was not nice to my skin. Once I had started incorporating Biologique Recherche's P50 1970 Lotion, my skin eventually became better and less sensitive to strong acids and in time, my skin has been all the better for it. Reviews after the jump...

The *30% Miracle Pads + is the highest formulation of a Glycolic Acid treatment that C&A offer, and personally would suit best if your face is already familiar with the acids.  I've noticed with using these pads that they are little miracle workers as it smoothes out my skin and reduced the size of the larger pores that reside on my nose and cheeks. They advise that a "tingling" sensation may occur when using these, though normal, I only experienced this the first week until my skin got used to it. Surprisingly, I use and enjoy these for morning routines; when/if I do use them in the morning, I opt out of using an acid at night because I have experienced over-exfoliation when using this twice a day or this in the morning and another acid in the evenings (it could be due to the high % of this specific treatment or the other one I used; lower treatments may/may not give the same result). To those unfamiliar to acids, don't fear, C&A have an array of Glycolic treatments best suited for all skin types at lower percentages.

I was most excited for the *Face & Body Retexture Scrub because its the kind of product I haven't used before; this again incorporates 10% Glycolic Acid & 0.5 % Salicylic Acid, which is good for any body-acne sufferers (you don't have to be one though to use this!). I don't personally suffer from body-acne, yet I love using this a few times a week in the shower because its so refreshing! It gently exfoliates ridding the body (I haven't used this on the face) of any dry, rough patches, creating soft & smooth skin; it also smells wonderfully of citrus! Its not abrasive and has a creamy formula that spreads evenly; it just melts right out of the tube and a little goes a long way. Right in time for summer, this is a good product to pickup to get ahead start before the seasons change, or to get when summer begins, its quite a treat.

Two big thumbs up for both of these products and I am definitely looking forward to trying more of this brand!
